The windows can be moved around the screen and can be tiled in different ways other than horizontally. This picture shows reversi and the clock tiled in the corner of the screen, although the edges of all of the windows are still locked together.

Windows 1.01 can run some dos applications in a window. Surprisingly this version of windows can start windows applications from the command prompt. When running multiple DOS applications the applications appear to be multitasked.
