Mint 11 Display Settings
Pleasantly, it gets my monitor settings perfect right out of the box.

Mint 11 Time
One annoying detail, even though I have standard 12-hour time selected, it forces me to set the time using bizarro 24-hour time.

Mint 11 Plays DVD
A big difference over other Linux distributions is that Mint can play DVDs right out of the box without loading other software.

Mint 11 Themes
Any color as long as its green or blue!

Like Ubuntu, Mint lets you select only from a very small number of themes with predefined colors. Instead of brownish colors, Mint uses greenish. Fortunately I like green.

As one would expect, the start menu, panels, and dialogs conform to the color setting of the selected theme.

Mint 11 Customize
Because it is Gnome 2, it is very highly customizable.

If you want to add a menu that goes directly to programs, additional launcher items, or add a panel at the top like Ubuntu, you can do so easily.

Mint 11 Shutdown
Shutting down Mint 11.

Unfortunately, this all gets changed around in Mint 12.
